As the title suggests, this is an abridged history of Como West
(-Jannali). Recognition is given to all those who worked tirelessly
to form a club and provide necessary acquisitions with very little
funds, but an abundance of enthusiasm. Also acknowledged are those
who have worked and continue to work hard to establish a progressive
and successful club. Members whose interest was, and is, in the
game of soccer can be assured, as the club develops further it will
continue as a family club and all associated will provide the best
they can with training, coaching, equipment, facilities, social
interaction, and a genuine interest in all members.
Information has been extracted from Minutes of Meetings and club
newssheets. My thanks to Lionel Morris, and Harold Jackson for their contribution of copies of early editions of the club newssheets which provided me with valuable information. Unfortunately verbal information from "early" members resulted in some differences in recall so the written (club records) were relied upon.
